🤔 Who is Sora?

As mentioned prior, Sora is a hybrid Hero between an Assassin and a Fighter. Even in his lore, he has the ability to switch between fighting styles through his form shifts. Both shifts hold different weapons and abilities that change how he moves in battle. Within his lore though, Sora enjoys flying and traveling through the clouds with his friends around the Emerald Road. It’s said that his form shifting abilities were actually a blessing or gift from the clouds themselves, which explains how he’s able to roam freely through them. ⚔️ Sora’s Skills

Since Sora is a mix between an Assassin and Fighter, you’re gonna be switching between two different playstyles that you get to time. In his basic form, he has more Thunder abilities as an Assassin. Assassin’s are known for their burst damage since they rely more on being quick on their feet to evade incoming attacks. In other words, they’re a bit of a glass cannon, but Sora’s Thunder stuns make up for that. Meanwhile, his fighting form has way more defense and tank abilities so Sora can take more damage and last longer when crowded.
💨 Passive: Mystic Surge

Sora’s main Passive ability is called the Mystic Surge which works as stacks of buffs. Whenever Sora uses his Ultimate to switch between his Assassin or Fighter forms and deals damage, he gains a stack of Cloudstep. After getting to five stacks in total, he’ll unlock a buff called True Art. When true Art is active, he can transfer his max Health into his Physical Attack stat when entering the Assassin form. Meanwhile transferring to the Fighter form will have the opposite effect by adding to his max Health.
🗡️ Skill 1: Sundering Strike

Sora’s Skills are a little more complicated due to working differently depending on what form he’s in. In his default form, the Sunder Strike skill will increase his Physical Attack and max Health stat when completing the two-hit combo. However, depending on the form, he’ll actually gain more Thunder or Physical Attack damage on the targeted enemy. This adds to his base stats and also his powers when he’s in either form for an extra attacking advantage.
☁️ Skill 2: WindStride

Depending on Sora’s current form, he can basically do a special attack pertaining to their main abilities. In this Thunder output form, he can cause a Lightning Storm that deals extra damage and slows down the enemies around him. This slowdown effect is actually incredibly advantageous for doing more damage right after. With the right teammates, they can also use this slowdown as an opening. Meanwhile, the other form does some heavy Physical damage that will increase Sora’s Max Health while also dealing AOE damage at once.
☀️ Ultimate: Shifting Skies

The final ability in Sora’s kit is his Ultimate, which doesn’t work like your average super ability might. Instead of doing a bunch of damage or giving a massive buff, Sora’s Ultimate just allows him to activate or switch between one of his forms. However, this power can be upgraded to three different levels that shortens the cooldown to do so. Upgrading also increases the base damage you do while in these forms. Either way, activating Sora’s Ultimate while knowing when to switch is one of the core ways to improve as a Sora main.
🤝 Sora’s Team Synergies & Counters

Sora is such a strong Hero to the point where countering him is seen as almost impossible unless in very specific scenarios. When mastered, his form switching ability alone is enough to throw off even the best players. His kit is mainly just all about timing your form switches and knowing how to use your abilities per form to your best advantage. Even when facing off against individual Heroes solo, he can still pick a massive fight and win half the time when used right.
When it comes to team synergies, Sora is once again so strong that he can pretty much fit well in any team. However, he especially does well when paired with Heroes that are initiators. Initiators are the ones that usually are the first to enter a fight. They take the brunt of the damage headfirst to protect the rest of the team. This is great for the Assassin side of Sora, as they typically can’t handle a lot of damage at once.
